GEOFF COWAN | partner
Geoff Cowan is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Deakin University. He was one of the founding Partners of the firm in 1986, having previously been a manager with Coopers & Lybrand.
Geoff now has over 30 years' experience in accounting, taxation, business advice, structuring, superannuation and estate planning. He is married to Janet and has three daughters and one grandson. Following a long time involvement in tennis, Geoff is now a golfer. He has also served on the Committee of many non-profit organisations.

PAUL BONGIORNO | partner
Paul Bongiorno is a Chartered Accountant, having obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Deakin University. He joined the firm as a manager in 1988 after four years' in the Business Services Division of Price Waterhouse. Paul specialises in business advising and structuring, and superannuation and taxation planning strategies. He is married to Carmel and has a daughter Maxi and son Oscar. Paul’s passions outside of family are horse racing and breeding, and golf. Paul is currently President of the Geelong Racing Club.

PETER MACMILLAN

Peter MacMillan is now a consultant to the firm that he co-founded with Geoff Cowan in 1986.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute has also designated him as a Specialist Financial Planner. Peter now has a financial planning business named Bayview Financial Planning Pty Ltd and his long experience as a Chartered Accountant together with on going further supplementary studies all make him an ideal person to help clients with all their planning issues.

Pete joined our firm in March 2001 and completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University. He completed his CPA in 2000.
Pete is a keen golfer and was captain of the Torquay Sands undefeated pennant team of 2010.

Steve commenced with MacMillan Cowan & Co in 2003 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University. He is currently studying for his CPA. Steve spends his spare time playing tennis and keeping fit.

HELEN HENDERSON

Helen joined our firm in 2004. She obtained a Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University and is a CPA. Helen has 20 years' experience in accounting and taxation services for a diverse range of small-medium clients across a wide range of industries. She keeps fit by going to the gym and walking 2 dogs, and has 2 teenage children.

Allisa joined our firm in November 2007 and completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University. She is currently in the process of studying for her CPA, which should be completed by the end of 2011. Allisa enjoys playing netball and going to the gym.

DUSHANTHI HERATH

Dushanthi joined MacMillan Cowan & Co in February 2008 having completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University with majors in Accounting & Finance. She has recently completed her CPA. While at university, Dushanthi completed an internship with Coles Group Limited in the IT finance department. Outside work, she loves taking photographs, travelling and playing her violin & guitar.

SUZANNE PEDLER

Sue has worked on a casual basis for MacMillan Cowan & Co since 1995 and on a permanent basis since February 2007. She has completed a Certificate of Office Administration at the Gordon as well as a Diploma of Finance (Professional Bookkeeping and MYOB). Sue has over 20 years' experience in various administration fields and apart from organising everyone at work, she also enjoys organising her family including two teenage children.

SHARYN JOHNSTON

Sharyn commenced with our firm in October 2009 and works on both reception and in our administration areas. She has been working in administration with various companies over the past 20 years'. She has completed Certificate III in Business and Advanced Quickbooks courses. Outside of work Sharyn spends her spare time with her husband and their 6 teenage children which is very rewarding and challenging.
